GYPSY CHARMS

Gypsy Charms is a director of MoB Academy.  A pioneer in her field, she was the first burlesque teacher to work with the prestigious National Dance Agency in the UK and has created original courses in burlesque striptease, burlesque/cabaret performance and male burlesque.  Frequently invited to produce creative labs and public displays for prestigious dance bodies, she is a sought after choreographer and performer.

Gypsy is also completing a doctoral research project which examines ‘striptease and power’.  With expertise in dance, physical comedy and striptease she has an enviable versatility and is regarded as the UK’s foremost expert teaching authority.

VIVA MISADVENTURE

Viva Misadventure is a director of MoB Academy.  As a professional dancer of many years, teacher and burlesque act in her own right Viva provides unparalleled choreography and tuition in burlesque and has speciality expertise in can-can, showgirl and cabaret dance.

Spending almost a decade working as an international show dancer, Viva can-canned in Paris, entertained Bollywood stars in India, cruised the ports of the Mediterranean and tangoed through Argentina.  Viva is now based in Scotland and runs MoB Academy classes and hen parties, as well as constantly creating new work for Improvers and Performance classes and running her professional showgirl and can-can troupe, French Fling.

Divine Destiny – Birmingham and Wolverhampton

Divine Destiny is our fabulous teacher for Birmingham and Wolverhampton.  She has taught dance and fitness classes for 28 years, and in October 2008 she fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening her own dance studios in Wolverhampton.  This enabled her to explore different avenues within the dance industry and gave her the opportunity to train in different art forms, including burlesque.

GoldieLox– Bristol and Bath

Dancing from the age of six, Goldie studied tap and jazz styles at the Venus School of Dance, Bristol. She taught her first dance class at the age of 16. Goldie then fell in love with street and hip-hop dance styles and founded urban dance school ‘Pumped’ in 2008. With over 100 students, the school regularly performs all over the South-West in shows, festivals, fund-raisers and club nights. Goldie also manages and is a key member of the dance schools competition crew. With her love for both classical and urban styles, Goldie works regularly alongside Eternity Dance Academy creating unique performance pieces which fuse the two different styles together.

After discovering the cheeky and sexy style of burlesque, Goldie trained with Ministry of Burlesque and is now running accredited courses and hen parties in the Bristol and Bath areas.

Miss Pretty S’Vere – Cardiff

Miss Pretty S’Vere first hit the stage at the tender age of three, dressed as a chicken. After gaining her dance teacher qualifications and training in various types of dance including jazz, American tap, contemporary and ballet, she became an international cabaret starlet, performing in Hong Kong, Greece and Japan. Since returning to her roots in Wales, Miss Pretty has choreographed, produced and performed (not all at the same time!) on both stage and screen. Since discovering the delights of burlesque, Miss Pretty has already gained notoriety as a burlesque performer and has performed all over the country as a soloist. Miss Pretty S’Vere also manages ‘The Follie Dollies’ troupe.
