Why MoB Academy?

The world famous Ministry of Burlesque has long recognised the need for qualified teachers and experience based tuition. Our leaders have decades of experience in dance, and are renowned teachers, choreographers and performers in burlesque, striptease and cabaret.

All our teachers nationwide are dance professionals with the qualifications, expertise and personality to lead you through your burlesque experience in a fun and secure environment. With a thorough understanding of health and safety in fitness and dance, they are also rigorously schooled in both practice and knowledge, meaning that with our original curriculum, choreography and historical research, they are ready to entertain and educate in equal measures.

Based on the increasing demand for performance opportunities, MoB Academy also offers performance workshops.  Performance workshops are open to any level of burlesque student, curious newcomers and dedicated exhibitionists but are ad-hoc as they are held in association with suitable local events.

In addition, Ministry of Burlesque’s ‘Movers & Shakers’ is a free nationwide event designed to give a platform to new, emerging talent on the burlesque and cabaret circuit.  Ambitious newcomers are welcome to perform – keep an eye on www.ministryofburlesque.com for upcoming Movers and Shakers events.
